The Expo 2016 Antalya mascots are Ece & Efe, two Turkish children. Their names are popular in the Antalya region and easy to pronounce in foreign languages.
Ece & Efe wear costumes inspired by the traditional yörük / nomad clothing seen in the Antalya region. Both of their costumes contain our symbol flower, the peony, and colours and forms that reflect the environmentally friendly focus of the 2016 Expo.
Expo 2016 Antalya mascots, Ece & Efe are :
• Knowledgeable about the history, culture and nature of Antalya region.
• Good friends with flowers and nature. They know how to care for them and increase their vitality.
• Representatives of the hospitality of Turkish people. They are engaging and gracious hosts who regard every visitor as important and treat them all as special guests.
