It's the first EXPO of its kind to be held in Turkey, it's of course a great pride for the Turkish people, and more particularly those of Antalya, to host this event.
Last week, I was one of the few french journalists to be invited at Antalya for a trip of familiarization with the Expo 2016, but also with the city of Antalya and this beautiful part of the Turkish Riviera. Even if the main subject remains this horticultural Expo, the fact remains that for the visitor, especially coming from abroad, will take the opportunity to discover the different interests of the region, for cultural interest or any simply tourism.
Supervised and organised by BAKA (West Mediterranean Development Agency, Turkey), these four days in Antalya were rich in visits and discoveries, and have enabled us to meet the main players in this Expo, without forget many personalities, who were able to tell us what will be exactly this event, but also to explain their expectations, in terms of benefits to the city and the region particularly thanks to tourism.
In the coming days, I will circulate regularly on this blog informations based on these different visits and meetings which, hopefully, will give you the envy to visit EXPO 2016 ANTALYA next year.
