Country Gardens bring color to EXPO 2016 Antalya

Scores of countries are preparing to host visitors in gardens reflecting their individual cultures at EXPO 2016 Antalya, which will open its gates with the “Child and Flower” theme on April 22nd.

There are several ambitious gardens inside the site, including the 3,150 square meter Chinese garden called “Moon’s Jewel”. This garden was completed in three months by a 30-member staff from China and takes inspiration from the classical gardens of  Suzhou. China’s history and rich horticulture will be on display.

Friendly relations between South Korea and Turkey go back a long way, so South Korea is one of the countries that stood alongside Turkey in its first EXPO. South Korea's ‘Shore Garden’ stands on 1,400 square meters and devotes one corner to explaining the friendly relations between Turkey and South Korea.

Sudan is maintaining its garden inside the EXPO 2016 Antalya exhibition center and has built a Sudan House that symbolizes the green world that will be passed on to future generations. Georgia will participate in EXPO with their Batum Botanical Garden, which has a history of 120 years. Nepal is constructing a Himalayas garden with a “Smart Children: Green Cities” theme that will be the largest garden of the exhibition at 3,600 square meters.
