Expo 2016 Antalya stars at AIPH ceremony

EXPO 2016 played a central role in the world's largest horticulture exhibition. The Grower of the Year Award Ceremony was held by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) in Essen, Germany this year. The 33rd annual exhibition hosted 600 participants from 50 countries, who were able to study plans for EXPO 2016. The Antalya team ran a booth at the exhibition and used the Grower of the Year Award Ceremony to announce the opening of the stand. The EXPO 2016 video clip was played during the evening and watched by the audience filling the hall with great interest.

Kazım Aydın, EXPO 2016 Antalya Agency General Secretary, awarded the Grower of the Year Award to Costa Farms company from USA. Flash Flowers from Antalya was awarded a silver award in the Cut Flowers Category.

Mr. Aydın and Ambassador Erdoğan Kök, General Commissioner, met many participants and individuals involved in the award ceremony. Bernard Oosterom, President of AIPH, congratulated General Secretary Aydın on his new post and pledged backing for the project. Tim Briercliff, General Secretary of AIPH, gave his support as he inspected the EXPO 2016 booth.
