The winning Herbariums in the Ethnobotany Project Competition are being developed for display at EXPO 2016. The "Anatolian Herbs in EXPO" competition was organised by the EXPO 2016 Antalya Agency, the Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education and Private Bilfen High Schools. Students in the 9th, 10th and 11th grade from 81 cities participated.
EXPO volunteers are collecting the herb samples from across Anatolia.
The samples are dried and preserved on special cardboard mounts. The
family of the herb, its species, the place, elevation and time of its
collection, the name of the sample collector, the name of the person who
first described the herb, and the herb's habitat characteristics are
